I will dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
